Christmas Question of the Day~Snow?

Brodo gettin her Swerb on
It's the first saturday in December and we officially have our first snow of the season too!!!

So today's question: What is your favorite snow activity? Or, if you don't get snow, what do you miss (or not miss) about not getting snow?

My favorite snow activity is sledding. Still! We went to WVa a few years ago with Jordan's parents to a mountain where they have a tow rope and a huge hill to sled down. It was so much fun!!
I also love to watch Tiger play in the snow, she goes NUTS! Lol! She just loves it and it makes me smile. :)

It doesn't snow here in Bullhead but I lived in Boston for 3 years so I have had my share of snow. What I miss is the great comfy warm clothes. I miss scarves, gloves, wooly sweaters and hats. I loved bundling up and being cozy. I do not miss slush. I hated slush. I love looking at the snow through the subway window but not walking through it after the cars had destroyed all of its structure.

My favorite thing is staying out of the snow. As much as I love living in WI, I do NOT love the snow that we get. We just had our first real snow the other day--I'm good for the year now, lol!!

I received 2 phone calls today telling me about snow. Just take pictures to share!!
I live in Florida, and not much snow around here...LOL
BUT it is real chilly and a lot of rain yesterday and today.

We actually woke up to a light dusting this morning..so of course in Mississippi that's a big deal lol. It had mostly melted by 8 am though lol

I do have good memories of the very few snow days we had when I was little though...any good amount of snow and all the schools would shut down. I remember building a tiny snowman on top of my dad's truck one year b/c we only had enough snow for a mini one :)

It's snowing right now here. My favorite activity is building things in the snow, snowmen, snow forts, snow castles, snow trees. But we don't get enough snow here to do much of that. I grew up in WV and we had tons of the stuff when I was kid. Here we can maybe make a snowman once a year. I like sledding & tubing in the snow too.

Mostly though I just like watching it fall.

sledding and building snowmen!!! And then coming in to a great big cup of hot chocolate and cookies!

No snow here yet. :(

We've got a few flakes floating down but nothing much yet.

My favorite activity is staying inside and watching it while drinking hot cocoa under a blanket. :)

We don't really get snow here in Louisiana..
but if we did, I would love to sled with my kiddos.

I LOVE sledding....we get a little bit here every now and then and I just enjoy atching the kids have fun it~

Building snowmen with my son! And it's snowing right now!!! I'm so excited! This is the first (real) snow of this season and I'm gonna wait to see if it covers the ground enough for some pictures! yay!!! :)

Its snowing right now in PA. I hate it! The only time I liked snow was when we got out of school for it! :)

I like watching the girls play in it but don't like the wet clothes afterward. LOL

Growing up in Houston, snow was a VERY rare occurence. Now that I live in OK, I enjoy the snow (to a point LOL). I love to watch it fall, and I get a kick out of Rachel being able to play in it.

I love watching it snow... especially when you get the really huge puffy snowflakes... mostly, I just like staying indoors though in front of a fireplace with my pjs on and some warm fuzzy socks or slippers and a hug mug of hot cocoa listening to music and watching the snow come down.

Ditto! :glare:

Snow? What's that? :D. Every few years we have a little snow - just a light snow shower. But it's constantly wet here, so the snow never stands a chance, it melts straight away. I would love to just be able to build a snowman....but I can live without it, I hate the cold!!

sledding here too! One of lily's Christmas gifts this year is this sled/luge thing. Is it sad that darcy and I are excited about it too?? (adults can also use it.. lol) We got it $10 cheaper than advertised too.. woot!

I pout a lot cause we rarely get snow. I just love the ambience and the way it looks. Not crazy about actually being IN it for long, I found that out the hard way last February when I visited a friend in Saratoga Springs, NY and they had "feets of snow" as my daughter called it. So I have since revised my wishes and am happy with 6 inches or so and that's usually only once a year, at best.

My favorite snow activity...is hiding in the house avoiding the snow. LOL I hate snow. I hate boots, and hats, and mittens...you get the idea. LOL

and you call yourself canadian!! :O shameful ;) LOLOL

(I have to admit i've become a bit of a wuss to the snow and cold as the years go on lol)

I have to admit, after living in Florida for 6 years with no snow, I'm rather enjoying it. We have about 8" right now, but we'll get 'feets' of it as winter progresses. When you get so much, it becomes just another part of life, not a big deal. We have the biggest flakes up here too. I swear you can see the detail on each one as they fall. I never tire of watching them... Right now I'd have to say my favorite snow activity is photographing DS' delight with it. He doesn't remember it from last winter, so it's like watching him discover something completely new.

I grew up at the beach in California, so I didn't really see much snow until I was about 20, and then I moved up to Alaska!

I really don't like many snow type activities because I really hate being cold, but I do miss seeing the boys enjoying the snow, I miss my dh acting like a little kid just because we get snow, and I miss waking up to a blanket of white and the snow keeps on falling...all day. It is so gorgeous.

I like opening up the blinds in the family room watching it snow...cuddled up in front of the fireplace ... crocheting.... (it's a warm snow activity) lol

Ive never seen snow so I have no idea what I am missing. I want to make a snowman though LOL and have a snowball fight with my hubby and kids. So I guess that is what I am missing. According to my husband though he says I am not missing anything by never experiencing snow. I told him he is just a wimp because he thinks Florida is cold (and he is from New Jersey and Maryland!!)
