Program for printing labels?

In the past, I've always printed the names and addresses for my cards/announcements onto labels, but the program I was using is on my husband's computer and it's not compatible with my computer. What program do you use? What do you like about it? Was it free? Do you import from another address book?

The thought of handwriting them just doesn't seem very appealing ;)

Ugh, I feel so unorganized right now, sigh. :cursing:

Well, that is easy! I have MS word! I will check it out! Thanks for the suggestion! Do you import the names and addresses or do you have to type them out?

Sarah, do you use a program that imports them, or do you just type each one out? I'm super lazy with this kind of stuff and the last program just imported everything from a book onto labels.

I print in Word using my contact list from Outlook email...It is quite easy, but I forget how each year because I only do it once a year! LOL I have to look it up every time!

I don't have any snail mail addresses in my outlook contact list because I didn't know you could do this!

I have my addresses in excel and do the whole import/merging thing so it creates all the envelopes!

It seems to me I imported my addresses once upon a time, but like Sharon Kay, I forget how to do it each time. Mine are mainly just set up in a table now, formatted to fit on the labels that I have, and I update individual addresses as I go.

I use word too, but import from Excel (work-stuff, I write them by hand at home). I've just sent out 975 cards at work! I go to tools - mail merge, then select labels. It will let you pick from a list of different labels, just check the label box to see what you need. Then it has a little wizard thing that guides you through the whole thing. I presume it's the same when importing from Outlook.

Thank you so much ladies, I tried outlook and it doesn't work for me, but I may try excel or perhaps I'll just use the label creator I have on my husband's machine, even though it's outdated.
