View Full Version : Need CS3 help please

Somehow I have the little hand icon instead of the pointer thingy and I can't move anything around on my LO I am working on. What did I do and does anyone know how I can fix it. I have it on my "Move" tool but it is just something that looks like a hand and it won't let me move any of my layers. Thanks so much. Gosh, I feel really dumb right now :o

Ok, that was really weird. As soon as I typed this out and posted I went back to CS3 and there it was working just fine. This is really weird.

It seems to be a bug in CS3 that sometimes the hand tool appears and nothing else is working. The solutions they recommend for this is restart, clear PS temp, and or reset preferences.

was your spacebar stuck? Sometimes mine sticks and I get the hand instead of the arrow

First thing I check when things are strange, is to see if I hit caps lock by mistake, then do the reset all tools, and then...if needed restart the program.

It happens to me too, and I usually just close PS and restart. It's a PITA.

Thanks girls. I actually did reset my workspace and even shut it down and opened it back up but it was still there until I came and posted here. Then when I went back it was gone. It was the weirdest thing. It hasn't done it since so hopefully it won't come back again!

I had it happen to me too - a couple of times. I searched on the internet and found out it is a bug in CS3. I have upgraded to CS4 a while ago and it hasn't happen since.

Did you gals set your preferences? Edit ... preference ... cursor. YOu can choose what you want them to look like, then save your workspace. Just a though ... :)

I dont have PS but this happened to me in Paint Shop Pro the other day. Same exact thing. I was just about to post to see how to fix it but it fixed itself
