Two part thread- PSE has been wacky and I've taken in my lappy with PSE and they're hopefully going to fix it today and I should have it back Sunday. I've only scrapped two layouts this month and am having serious withdrawals! :glare: Plus, today was the last day of school for us, so I have two weeks off and REALLY want to get back to scrapping. :) YAY!:thumbup:

Now for the second part- as I sent my beloved lappy off, I thought, what if I were to lose everything again? I've not been the best about using my EHD as a backup lately and need to look into Carbonite or Mozy (or another similar service).

I'd love and recommendations, good or bad experiences, etc. (I use DSL and have about 250 GB to backup). TIA!

I've been using Mozy for close to 2 years I think and I'm seriously conidering switching to Backblaze instead. I've heard nothing but good reviews on it on a photography forum I'm on. The cost is basdically the same per month too.

I've been thinking about switching from Mozy too and I'd heard good things about Backblaze as well.

But I really think the best thing you can do is get into a habit of backing up to your EHD. It'll be the easiest backup to reach should something happen and it's the fastest option for backing up as well. I'd only use an online backup for off-site backup purposes, not as your primary back up.

Well I am being advised since Mozy has driven me nuts ... to go the easier route and build a RAID system to back up my computer ... as soon as I can afford it ... that is what I am going to do.

I've been using Mozy. I also back up to EHD, but not as regularly as I should. I initially went with Mozy because it could back up an EHD and Carbonite couldn't. (I have no idea if that is still the case.) I'm paid up through October, but after that I'll look into other options. I may end up going with Mozy again, but it hasn't been handling it well if I close my laptop lid in the middle of a backup. If that happens, Mozy won't work again until I restart. It's inconvenient but not a deal breaker, since other than that I've found it easy to use and the few file restores I've done (just a file or 2 each) have been easy.
