Leap Frog Tag...

I think that's it...Do any of your children have it? I bought this for my son (kindergarten) for Christmas but he has already started reading so I'm not sure if he needs this. I guess I got a little to happy in Toys R Us when I was shopping and now I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or return it.

Avery is 4 and he's reading already as well. He's getting one too though...I think he'll really enjoy it...I got it out and played with it some and it has games and other things as well..it's really a cool little toy.

Well we bought one for our 4 year old a few weeks ago. She LOVED it in the store so we picked one up and an extra book. She played around with them for all of about 10 minutes and hasn't touched them since. Not to mention it's kind of a pain in the rump to have to download the content for every book into the tagger. I guess it wouldn't be so bad now that I have an account and stuff set up but we won't be buying anymore so I dunno. lol


*Edit - Oh wait. Ours is the Tag Jr. The tagger may be different. Disregard. lol

I got one for Kylie last year, she used it more with the cards you could buy to go with it. There are games and such, and it will just read the story without actually having to move it across the page. It has different settings. It is cool for a child who is really into reading and can recognize their letters, to help them read better, at least in my opinion. But my kiddo would rather have me read and she really has not used it much at all in the last year.

It's one of those things that you won't know if it's a good thing unless you try it out.

Kinda unrelated, but does anyone know if the Tag books will work with the Tag Junior?

We got the Jr. one for Wes for Christmas, but I can't find anywhere if the Tag books will work with it.
