internet speed and the holidays??

I am curious if anyone has noticed a huge lag in loading pages online in the last few days. It was so frustrating for the last three days I could not get pages to load. It took longer then when I first got internet (back when I was connecting at like 26 kbps :blink: ) Im pretty sure it had to be a combination of my provider and to much traffic online at once but was just wondering if anyone else was having these issues in the last couple days?

not much, maybe a little bit. and we have 3 computers online. who's your internet provider? we have Comcast. love them.
 
I have noticed it. I know it's because everyone is home & on the internet, which overloads the provider's bandwidth.

Dh is the director of network operations of my ISP. Guess who is at work today fielding calls from disgruntled customers because his underlings have the day off?:cursing:

Stacey Im sorry...that sucks. I would not be angry about it because I figured that was the reason. Nothing the internet company can really do about that. They are doing much better today though. The speed is back up and no waiting for pages to load at all really. I figure tomorrow will be slow but we have like three houses to visit and plenty to do so I probably wont be online much

pretty good. I have not had to many issues. Only major complaint I had was when one of their workers hit a tree in our yard and didnt bother to tell us about it.
