Photos: Resizing in mass quantity?

My pics from my new Rebel T1 are a lot larger than the pics from my Nikon D40 (the switch-over is going well, so far, BTW) - so I need a way to resize some pics in mass quantity for uploading to my blog, facebook, etc.

Most places have a 5mb limit, and I'm for sure not opening, resizing, saving each pic (even using the actions I have would take forever).

I nibbed around in iPhoto and Lightroom looking for resize options, but thought I'd ask for some suggestions from you girlies...
 
You can do this easily in PSE, I'm sure in PS, too.

File ---> Process Multiple Files
 
If you have Lightroom, you can resize really easily using the Export feature. I think there's even an Export as a Web Sized Jpeg option which will do it for you. I want to say if you select the images you want to export and right click it will give you that option but I'm on my phone right now so I can't check.
 
OH MY GOODNESS! I've been using PSE for years and had no idea you could do batch resizing! My dh knew and I was like why didn't you tell me and he said I thought you knew, you're the "expert" on PSE! lol

I'm so glad I saw this thread! :thumbup:
 
I use "Process Multiple Files" ALL THE TIME and I love it! It makes things so much easier! I can start a batch and then walk away!
 
Just wanted to update and say that I actually learned something new about Photoshop through this thread! I was professionally trained in PS and have used it every day for the past 6 years of my life... and STILL didn't know that I could process multiple files using File -> Automate -> Batch. I created an action that would resize, and then used the automator - works like a DREAM!

For those with PSE, you can add a watermark when you do the batch resizing, too. That's how I do all my photos for my blog and Facebook.

I use this feature a lot (I do web design)...it is one of the things I love most about PS!
 
I totally need to make an action for this.
And I def need to a friend who was just asking me about doing this very thing!!

WOOT! I love learning new tricks :)
