Aidan stuck coins in the PS3.

i was going to put a movie in for them, went to hit eject to see if there was already a disk in it, and it make this awful noise. Then Aidan said "there a quarter in it". :blink: he told on himself, lol. and he calls all money quarters so it could be a penny for all i know. i'm very :cursing:. we don't use it much; i think its been a few months since i did. but i don't know if Sony would fix that. and i bet it wouldn't be cheap.

has anyone had this happen before? i don't know what to do. if we try to take it apart ourselves it will void the warranty, i do know that.

Have you tried the oh-so-official way of dislodging it by gently shaking it upside down while pushing eject? If not, Game Crazy often has business cards for guys who fix things like that (and not as expensive as sending it in)...that stinks!

I would try the same thing - tip it over and shake it.

i just tipped it over and shook it. didnt try hitting eject while doing that. DH yelled at me and said he'd take it apart and get it out. not liking that idea, but he does build computers so he knows about that sort of thing. i'm just mad. those aren't cheap! i do want a Wii though. now we have an excuse!

or maybe something long with tape on it..that's how we dislodge things all the time but you have to be careful not to lose the tape in there too haha
