Sigh.... it's a train wreck for sure, but I love to watch the Bachelor! I think it is the romantic in me. :wub: I liked Jake last season on the Bachelorette so I have to watch this and see if he will stay a nice guy or if 25 women throwing themselves at him will change him. So who else is getting ready to watch tonight??
 
blech. last year's bachelor killed it for me. any show that would engineer a nasty ending like that has lost my vote.
 
I will def. be watching, but I have to admit to not being that excited about Jake. I think he's a little too goody-two-shoes to make it much fun. We'll see...
 
Jake was my fave last year so I'm gonna watch it..I'll probably DVR and watch it Tues am b/c I watch 2 shows with my 13yr old on Monday nights (abc family)

Exactly my thoughts, but I'll still be sucked in watching it LOL!
 
I don't watch - but the morning radio show here interviewed the host (Chris Harris??)...

he said that there's not as much drinking and partying this season since Jake is such a spiritual guy - but he said there's still drama and excitement.

They also said the girls are very good this year, too (good looking and all)...

so I hope its a good one for you!
 
I am for sure! I was mad at last yr at that loser but I loved Jake so I defiantly want see it this yr!
 
Every season I say no - I won't watch and was particular ticked off with the last season's ending....but I do like Jake so probably will take a peek again....lol!


Sidenote: hey Meg what are you watching on ABC family?

I think I'm going to be sitting this season out. Last season just completely ruined the show with me with all of it's completely fabricated drama. I liked Jake at the beginning of Jillian's season but not after he was involved with the obviously fake "confrontation" of Wes. He's clearly just a puppet for the producers of the show so I doubt anything that happens this season will even be remotely real. Not that it ever has been "real" but at least at one time they hid it better. :p

I'll probably just read the Reality Steve recaps instead. :D

I have only watched one other season of the bachelor but for some reason or other I decided to tune in last night. It was good but a little jarring for me since I'm not a longtime fan. I'm not sure if I'll stick with it or not- I am in need of some mindless tv though, so maybe.
 
I watched last night. It is like a train wreck which is why I probably will still watch. LOL!

Now he is some nice eye candy but seriously how often can they have him walking around without his shirt on? I began to laugh at the shower scene thinking that "OK, there has to be a camera guy, a sound guy and who knows who else standing there. Awkward."

So he looks like that, has a good job and a house. Anyone else wondering why he is a bachelor?

I think ABC has realized that bringing back past cast members gets better ratings than having a bachelor no one "knows" in the position.

I couldnt stand Jake last year, he made me cringe with the goo, but I'll probably watch anyhow. Who knows, I went into Jason's season loving him and ending up not being able to stand him, so maybe Jake will do the opposite and win me over.

*sigh* I don't know... I did watch last night... I like the nut cases... you would think that there is a screening process, but apparently intelligence is not a requirement. Then another scandal... they were talking about it on the radio about a producer of the show getting it on with one of the ladies... nice. Like crazy is not enough to get ratings.
 
I'm such a dork, I don't watch it, but love to read the host's blog....I like him better in print than on the screen ;)
 
I turned it on for about one minute - and it was during the shower scene. DH was in the room and MADE me turn the channel :( lol

Doubt I'll be watching it again though - we have too many other Monday night shows!

I read your post before I saw the show and just laughed so hard when it came up.....oh my gosh that was too funny!!! I think Michelle is going to be the one who will just keep me watching to see what the fall out is.....wow....
 
It's one of those I'll DVR and skip through 90 percent of it lol. It's always amazing to me how attractive, seemingly normal people can be so cr-A-zy.

Make sure you catch where the girl tripped on her dress when she first went to meet Jake - lol my dh said she should have gotten the rose just for that!

I saw that lol...I couldn't figure out whether she did it on purpose or not until I read Chris Harrison's blog this morning and he said she totally faked it...too bad he didn't miss and really let her hit the ground lol
