Back to work today... :(

My students come back tomorrow but I'm still dreading it... I love my job but had such a great vacation... I know it'll be a long week for us all. And I'll miss you guys! I know many of you are READY for your kids to go back, so maybe I'll be counting down to Spring break on my own! LOL!

Girl I remember how you feel..I used to teach 5th grade and that first day after Christmas break was SOOO not fun. Hopefully Jan. will pass quickly..that was always the longest month it seemed b/c there were no off days.

I was not looking forward to the first day back. We were in Missouri and planned to drive home Sunday, with my first day back Monday. My own kids don't have to go back till tomorrow (Tues.). Then we woke up Sunday morning to inches of snow and decided we didn't want to drive in the still falling snow, and unplowed roads. So I didn't make it back home until mid-afternoon today, and my coworkers had to deal with the first day back.

Maybe they bore the brunt of it for you then Kim... but I fear by Friday, they'll all be tired and cranky, as will I!

Awwww, Stephanie! I'm right there with you! All of my friends are "soooooo ready" for school to be back in and I'm like, "HEY, you're sending them back to MEEEEEEEEE!!!" :glare:

I truly, truly love my job and it's not like I won't have a TON of fun tomorrow (I teach 4K), but I dread the planning, copying, setting up, preparing, etc.

So, I'm right there with ya!

Steph, I feel for ya. My coworker and I really had a hard time getting into the swing of things. Got to work for her to remember our balls were flat, so we had to change the lesson plan with 10 minutes before the kids came out ... eeekkkkkk! It was such a Monday after Christmas break day ... We made them run to fill time! LOL!
