I woke up this morning with...

a cyst the size of an orange on my right ovary. Of course, I didn't know it at the time. I just had excruciating pain that wouldn't go away.

anyhow, now that I'm on two vicodin and 600 mg of Ibuprofen, I'm feeling a little better! Luckily the doctor's office worked me in pretty quickly.

argh. girl parts. considering I just had endometriosis surgery a month ago, this is quite a surprise.

oh no :( I had my hysterectomy primarily due to cancerous cells...but I also had endo & recurring cysts. During the surgery he found a nasty cyst on my fallopian tube. Now that the baby factory is closed for good, I won't have this problem anymore, but I do remember the pain! I hope it goes away quickly for you and I hope you can resolve the problem in general, one way or the other :( (((hugs)))

oh Im sorry...I know that its painful. My two oldest sisters and my mom had to have a hysterectomy due to these kinds of issues as well.

I was just in the doc's office Wednesday for the same thing. I've got two fairly large ones on my left ovary plus mild endo. He wants to schedule surgery to clean it all out but I really don't want to again. My pain is better the past couple of days so I'm hoping they've shrunk back down. I really am tired of girl parts.

I waited about 6 months once I knew I had a cyst last time (plus other symptoms of endo)...but eventually the pain was frequent enough and interrupted other...umm..."nocturnal activities"...that I had the surgery again. I've felt great since my surgery!

This is a hemorrhagic cyst which means its blood, and actually doesn't have anything to do with the endo. Seriously? as if I needed a new type of problem in that area?

anyhow, thanks girls for your sympathy and well wishes! I just feel bad for my family because I've had so many issues lately.

Ugh I feel your pain had this happen to me a few months back its painful!!! Keep on track with the pain meds though cuz its nasty when they wear off!

{{{hugs}}} I hope you can find a reasonable solution to your problem ... and hopefully the pain will stop soon!!

Hope you feel better.
I get cysts every month...plus dealing with my wonderful endo.
I go to the dr on Monday for my annual but I'm definitely going to be doing some questioning about a few things.

thanks for letting me vent girls! and for the sweet thoughts!

they said that with this type of cyst the blood will be re-absorbed by the body and it will go away on its own. IN A FEW WEEKS!

But it's not quite that bad - they said that in a few days the pain should subside.

I'm really glad it didn't require surgery - apparently on the big ones like this, the risk is that the ovary could get "torqued" (turned) and it cuts off the blood flow to the ovary. They have to do surgery on those.

on a cool note - the doctor's office had new equipment. you know those old black and white sonograms we all used to get? they have new doppler equipment now that actually can detect bloodflow and it uses colors just like the weather radar on TV! How cool is technology now??
