ACDsee Question

Any of you guys switched your database from one harddrive to another?

I just got a new 2TB and I want to start using it and keep my smaller ones as backups. I can't figure out how to switch the database.

Well, I did see one method, you have to use ACDsee to actually move everything, and then, I tried it with just a small folder of photos, everything was tagged twice. And to switch 60 gigs of scrapping stuff it took 4 hours, so I'd have to delete everything and copy everything again.

I have done this because I moved my database to my EHD so I could use it on the pc and laptop... but I don't remember how. But, I know it wasn't hard. Let me see if I can find it!

Wait, are you leaving your files where they are and just want to move the database? Or moving the database and files? just the database right?

Its really easy if you're using the same EHD with ACDsee 2009.

Just import/export the database, but this I can't figure out.

Well, I did have to move my database, but I also had Heidi walk me through it because they didn't have instructions yet. Hopefully they can help you there.
