Google Chrome anyone?

Anybody using Google Chrome out there? I'm using IE8 right now and am looking for something besides Firefox since DH uses that (unless I can create my own profile on there and keep our things separate????)

Yes. I like it. I miss the ad blocker and my FB & Kaboodle toolbars, but otherwise, it's really fast and easy to use.

kaboodle works with chrome now Kellie, check it out.

I am using chrome. I like it pretty well.

I'm still on the fence about Chrome...I like it, but I'm still really used to Firefox and can't seem to break the habit, lol!!

I started using Chrome a few months ago when Firefox took a huge crap and stopped even loading on my laptop. I really wanted to hate it so that I could keep working on getting FF up and running again, but it's grown on me so much that I refuse to go back to FF (I never did manage to fix it, so it works out well that way.).

Thanks, Emmy. I have been manually adding stuff, and you know how much I use my kaboodle, so this will save me lots of time and effort. I appreciate that.

And I DO find the 1 easy step to get rid of your fat ads ANNOYING, but other than that I've grown used to the ads. I still miss having them all blocked, though.

I don't have pop-ups, but FF would block all the ads that appear on pages. I went into shock the first time I used Chrome from all the ads, like on FB and my yahoo mail.

HOLY flip flap and fly! I just downloaded it and it took like 2 seconds to install. I can already tell you I like the spell-check! BONUS: It imported all my favs and links from IE!

I don't think I'm going to bed anytime soon...too excited. Ha!

We use Chrome here and love it. Sometimes my computer gives me issues viewing PDF's but other than that I love it. I just dislike those sites that make me use IE! IE runs horrible on my computer so I really don't like to open it.

Chrome takes up a bit of memory and it doesn't have my FF plugins, but I use it about as much as I do FF.

I use it occasionally, and I really like it, but I prefer Firefox after discovering that Colt extension - uploading with credits is so much better using that extension!

You can have separate profiles in Firefox though. If you have vista, you just type firefox.exe -P (make sure the -P bit is there) into the search box on the start menu (firefox needs to be closed when you do this), and click on the profile manager that comes up on the start menu. To create a new profile, click on the new profile button. To make firefox ask you what profile you want to use when you start it up, untick the "don't ask on startup" box, and from now on, every time you open firefox the profile manager will open and ask you to pick a profile. This way you and your hubby can have different settings, bookmarks, history and extensions. If you have xp or mac, there are instructions here: http://lifehacker.com/231646/geek-to-live--manage-multiple-firefox-profiles (pretty much the same, but you need to use a command line)

I've used Chrome for about 2 weeks now, as Firefox kept crashing my laptop, and I love it so far. I imported all my bookmarks and passwords from FF which is good for me as I didn't lose anything.

what's the Colt extension for FF?? anything to make credits simpler would be oh-so-helpful!

I've been using Chrome for a long time. I really like it. Took some time getting used to the refresh/reload button on the other side, but now I like it. Give it a try!

It's this one here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1812

It copies links with all the codes you need for forums, so if I want to link to Libby's newest kit for example, I just right click on the kit name from the new products page in the shoppe, and it copies the text, link and code to insert it in forums or galleries like this:

[ url=https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=19730&cat=358&page=1]A Modern Stone Age Family by Libby Weifenbach[/url ] (without the spaces)

When you save the post it becomes: A Modern Stone Age Family by Libby Weifenbach

So you only need one click, rather than typing up the names of the kits and copying the link. Did that make any kind of sense?
