Is it bad...

that I've already given up on 2010 and am looking forward to 2011 as the year I finally make those life changes I desire?

It's just that my parents were here Dec 28-Jan. 8, so I never got the chance to sit down and really think through what my goals were gonna be and come up with a plan for achieving them, and now it's almost Feb...

So I figure I'll just give up on this year and wait for next year to really be amazing. Now I have plenty of time to think through an action plan. :p

well it's hard to fix perfection, right, so you're probably fine! ;)

i have not been so hot on my some of my goals thus far, but i think there's a wee bit of time to turn that around... now to just find time to sit down and work out some sorta plan..........

Nope. This is going to be my year. I am making changes - for the good. I can't wait any longer. I started last night with our financial situation. It's only going to get better from here.

Who says you have to start on Jan 1? Sit down, think about it, and make the changes you want to make. Life doesn't stop while you wait to make changes!

I can't tell you how many times I've thought something similar this month. I've had a million deadlines at work that didn't stop for the holidays, family was here for two weeks, had no time off...curveball after curveball. It's so hard to 'start fresh' when life has other plans. :) Right now I'm just trying make small goals...the bigger ones will still be waiting for me when the time is right...it's easy to feel behind because of a date, but Col is right. Pick your own Jan 1 and go! :)

Heloooooooooooooo people. This was supposed to be an ENCOURAGING thread. You were supposed to say,

"Sure, Kel. You just scrap your little heart out in 2010 and in 2011 you work on being a better person."

Surely someone can say that, right? ; )

No, no. I'll try and take Friday morning to sit down and work through the changes I want to make. I feel like I've been doing better about keeping the house clean, and I have been trying to make a conscious choice to do one selfless thing each day, even if that selfless thing was getting dressed after I was already in bed so that I could take Joel's dirty/wet frisbee clothes to the washing machine (our laundry room opens up to the courtyard and doesn't have a curtain) just because HE was too lazy to do it himself. So that counts for something, right?

You still have the rest of the week to plan. January was just your planning month. Full engagement in February!

P.S. I hope your changes also include visiting us here because you are fun!

Maybe instead of yearly goals ... make monthly goals? Might be easier to achieve...don't plan too far in advance...

I'm with Col. A year is a long time to wait for something to be amazing! Get your butt in gear, woman, and make it happen! :D :D

You can always just make your goal for 2010 to be to scrap your heart out. :p

I'm shooting for 2017, Kel. I'll be 37 then -- my favorite number -- so it's bound to be a good year. :p
