I was wondering if anyone has used this program? I have PSP X2 and love it, but upgraded to Windows 7 so I have to move on, at least that's what I've been led to believe. Any thoughts or reviews?
I didn't know there was a new version either. I still have PSPXI installed, altho I have PSPX2 and don't like it. I never could seem to get PSPX2 to work properly for me. Ya know I lurve PSP, but I honestly have been using CS3 more and more often recently. I am gonna check out this new version and see if it works for me. I am still using Vista on my 2 computers, but hubby has Windows 7 on his new desktop.
I didn't know it either until I went searching for compatibility issues, lol!
Well, maybe that would be the ticket....download the trial version and see if I like it. I'm not too into the idea of having to learn a completely new program which is why I would like to stay within the same program family....I have been a PSP girlie since v.4
I have never used Vista, Eva, I have been using XP right along, lol....so Windows 7 is going to be a very different experience. But I am looking forward to it
I have Vista and X2. They get along great. I have a free upgrade to Win 7 that I am thinking of doing soon but if I have to upgrade X2 then I may not do it. I've heard good things about X3, I'm just not keen on paying for an upgrade right now
Yep, I'm sure its not the Ultimate version. I bought it when it first came out (before Ultimate). I don't really want to pay for an upgrade either, but without it I can't scrap and that just won't do at all, lol!!
Right now I've got the trial of X3 and it's running fine with Windows 7. I can't seem to install plugins. I don't know if it's because I can't figure it out, it's the trial, or it's not compatible. My guess is a little of the first two.
I'll still be using lightroom for the majority of editing- I'm not impressed with the options for RAW files for X3. Still can't beat it for the price and I gave up long ago trying to scrap with CS4.
I downloaded X3 and it took me awhile to adjust to having to switch back and forth between my workspace and the browser. In X2 I could have it all open right in front of me side by side (project and browser) which I liked way better. There is a media tray in X3 which I'm not sure how to use yet. Maybe once I figure that out it may make things easier.
I haven't tried installing my plugins yet, Amy....I need to take baby steps, lol!
Baby steps here too! Until last week I was working with a 7 yr old Dell, 2gb of space, outdated programs and had accidentally deleted crucial fonts. I'm just glad to click "open" and see it actually come up on the screen. One thing at a time
I had looked at the upgrade but didn't really see major changes that really meant a lot to me at the time. I'm still in the process of changing over from one computer to the other.......I just can't seem to give up my old one even though it's on it's last legs......not sure I care for Vista either. I miss my folder options, I hate the vista way of showing what's in a folder. but I may have to give X3 a look.....I know I had major problems with X2, but when it works ok I love it
