The sickies are here...

Oh, wow, the girls both woke up with crazy fevers this morning! 102.2 and 102.5. I gave them motrin, and they're up moving around right now, they seem like they're feeling a little better, but they're still warm. I hope this doesn't last very long!! So we missed cheer practice this morning-I'm so sad about that, since today was picture day! I know it's only 4 year old cheerleading, but this is the first class/activity they've ever done, and I was so looking forward to those pictures! Ah well. :thumbdown: It would have been crappy to take them out this morning anyways, and I saved a ton of money not buying those crazy priced picture packages... so maybe I'll hit up the shoppe instead... LOL

Ugh! oh no! I posted last night about Lawson being sick. His fever peaked around 2am, I gave him more tylenol then and it just started to come back again. But he's running around playing and being funny...so I think he's feeling better??

Must be something going around (there always is, LOL!)

Sorry you missed your pictures

Ugh! Mine is STILL sick! Last Thursday night he had croup, Friday he got a fever and ran all weekend, took to the doc who said he had an ear infection so he got another antibiotic (was already on one for strep the week before), waited two days and he was still running a fever/cold sick and took him to the urgent care to make sure the ears were clearing up. They were so they said that he was probably still just fighting off the cold. That was Wednesday...we are still running a fever of 102 although it does take longer for it to cycle up to the fever temp after I give some meds. Ugh...I just don't know what to do...I feel like we are NEVER going to get over this, and I feel worried that I'm going to "miss" something. But I don't want to take him back to the docs and be "that" mom! Sorry to hijack the thread from you!

Yeah...things are going around...especially strep. Do they have sore throats? Strep has been really bad here in the last month apparently (according to a lab tec guy I talked with at church).

They haven't complained about sore throats(or ears, thank goodness), but they are coughing a bit-no runny nose though. It seems to just be the fever otherwise. They haven't thrown up, and they are eating some, which is good... usually when they're sick, they won't touch food. I guess we're just going to have a lazy day, they're hanging out in my bed here watching movies. They said they feel better since their last motrin, but they're still a bit feverish.
