are you canadian.. do you know..

lauren grier

you're like stars
who the weakerthans are?

lol if you are not canadian and know who they are then that's fine too.. ^_^ but this is mostly @ kristin.. who doens't know who they are.. and I decided, since the weakerthans ARE canadian.. that every canadian should know them since "Left and Leaving was named one of the ten best Canadian albums of all time" ... :p

ps i love the weakerthans :p

I was singing "aside" to K.. and yes. that is the reason for this ridiculous post :p

lol when I read this I was on a voice chat with 4 Canadians (my SIL and some friends of our family) and none of them new anything about them. Gonna have to look it up.

I love their songwriting...just can't handle Neil Young.

But I know what you mean, la...some of my favorite artists are people no one has ever heard of and I'm always astounded LOL

You know, Canadians only take credit or notice talent after they make it big in the US. I never heard of Nickelback until they exploded on the US charts and were played on the radio. It's kind of sad really. Canadian talent just doesn't get played on the radio... pretty lame huh?

PS - I am not bashing Canada, so nobody hurt me. I'm just stating what I've personally noticed.

lol i was actually going to say something along those lines but didn't want to get pelted by all the canadians.. well more so that I think the US music/everything takes over in canada and your artists don't get to shine on their own very much..

I am Canadian, I have heard of them, I don't mind them, but not a huge fan. I do love Neil Young though!

You're right K - its not ALWAYS true. But most of the time it is, haha!! I always feel pretty special when I have a favorite band/actor that makes it big in the US, and I'm like "WE KNEW THEM FIRST!!!", haha!
