TIFF vs PSD file

tell me the difference? and if there is no difference other than size, why have I NOT been saving my files that way:p another question, can I just change the file name or do I have to go in and open them all up and then resave them as a TIFF? thanks :)

You do have to resave them at TIFF by going into each one and resaving. There are different settings to get the size down. Darcy has them somewhere....if I find the thread, I'll let you know. I find that TIFFs open faster on my machine too.

And you can create an action to resave to TIFF format using the settings listed in the thread and then do a Batch convert in File, Automate... HTH.

These are the settings you want:
LZW
Interleaved
ZIP

And yes, the only difference is file size, lol.

another question...can I upload the TIFF or do I also need to save as a JPEG for printing?

Pretty sure you still have to save a jpg to upload.
