Message from Chloe's teacher....

when i checked her folder today there was a paper in there. this is what it said:

Dear Family,

Hunter's mom is bringing a McDonald's Happy Meal for every child in our class tomorrow. We will be eating our special meal in our classroom.

whoa. :blink: those are like $4 each or something, right? i don't even buy my three kids one when we go there; they get cheeseburgers from the dollar menu, lol. its too expensive. and then this Super Mom decides to buy the entire class a kids meal? she's making the rest of us moms look bad, lol. i can't afford to do that!

its sort of cool though. the kids will love it.

She's probably getting a group discount.. I used to work in a daycare and we'd do Happy Meals for our picnic lunches at the park sometimes. But it's still probably not cheap

yea she probably gets a discount on them. My daughter works at dominos and we only pay like 2 dollars for a medium pizza. She gets them free if she is working when she makes one. Maybe the mom knows someone who works for Mcdonalds or knows the owner or something.

Maybe the family manages a McDonalds. When Rylie was in preschool on of her classmate's parents owned Sonic and they'd bring in meals for the entire class on special occasions.

Annika's pre-school teacher last year was good friends with the franchise owner of the McD's here and would treat the kids occasionally or hand out coupons for a free burger/fries/chicken nuggets/etc. for special occasions.

i hope that she is getting a discount, lol. its really cool that she's doing that. its the first time i've been aware of anyone doing this for the class.

i've made cookies and cupcakes for the class for parties, lol. i'm not a total slacker
