Precious...did you see it? (possible spoilers)

I saw the preveiws for Precious when it was in the theater but never got around to seeing it. It came out on dvd today and I went and got it this morning from redbox. It was a really powerful movie that is for sure and it made me sooo sad. The end scene with Precious' mother and the social worker made me cry. I could not believe the mother allowed her daughter to be abused and then blamed her for it in the end and just how horrible the mother really was in this movie. So what did you think of this movie? If you have not seen it defenitely is worth renting.

How is it for swearing & stuff? I would like to see it, but we will turn it off if it has a lot of profanity. I hate paying $5 for a movie I won't watch.

It has a pretty good amount of swearing. If you dont like swearing you probably would not want to see this movie.

Thats too bad ... I'd love to see it.

I hate tons of swearing. In this case it probably fits the movie and that horrible mother, but I'm still not up for it either. It did well at the Oscar's too.

I want to see this movie soon, swearing doesn't bother me if it fits the movie/characters.

I wish I could say swearing bothers me... but I'm a teacher by day, so I tend to lean toward the "sailor side" by night. I do have a hard time watching movies that depict abuse- especially sexual abuse- but I've heard this movie presents it in a way that isn't graphic (at least visually) I can't watch those... want to see this now though.

No the sexual abuse scene was not graphic at all...no nudity and it does not really show anything but you know what is happening nonetheless. I have to say the final scene though had me crying sooo badly though.
