My mom finally got her results from her test and it turns out she does have breast cancer but they caught it super early so the doctor is really optimistic.

She is having a lumpectomy the beginning of April. She is also quitting smoking since the doctor told her that the medicine that she has to be on, you can't smoke with. I have been wanting my mom to quit smoking for a looooooooong time so it makes me happy that she is doing that.

Thank you girls for your prayers. It wasn't the news I was hoping for but it isn't the worst news either.
 
I am so sorry for the news - but so happy that it was not worse - I know what you are going through ... My mom is a survivor too -

Oh! And may I make a suggestion?
If you live close to your mom, & she'll let you, take photos & document her journey! I was lucky & my mom asked me to take pictures for her. I took all those pictures & scrapped them & printed them for her in a shutterfly book. I catch her looking at it all the time! I know your mother would cherish it just as much as mine has! More (((hugs)))

Oi. That makes my chest feel really tight for you. I hope they get rid of that cancer and your mom stays smokes free.
 
Julie, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad they caught it early and can start treatment. We've been there with my mom too, so I will be praying for her speedy recovery. x
 
Julie, I am so sorry to see this news. Please, take this advice from me. Even when you feel like the worst times are upon you, treasure EVERY moment. Women are so strong and are able to fight and overcome this disease every day. No matter what though, treasure her and like Deb suggested..document these days. I wouldn't trade my moments with Mama while she fought, for anything. I wish her the best of luck and I hope you will keep us posted.
