Meal Planners...

What are your go to meals? I feel like I am making the same thing every week, thus I end up just making junk half the time. What are your go to meals when you are planning?

Italian pasta night(we lived in Italy for 3 years so we cook a ton of different kinds), we do a stir fry at least every other week, chicken and rice as well, breakfast for dinner, uhm.. my mind is drawing a blank, I have so many different meals I rotate through.

Lasagna or baked ziti
Homemade pizza with a variety of toppings, like if we have pulled pork BBQ onne night we'll have BBQ pizza a couple nights later.
Goldfish chicken - breasts cut into nuggets & breaded with crushed goldfish crackers (super nacho is a favorite) & baked with spinach salad
Steak & pierogis with raw veggies
Little meatloafs - baked in muffin tins with roasted root veggies
Zucchini & leak frittatta
Soup made with leftovers - beef & barley or cream of roasted root veggie usually

Chicken noodle casserole
Pizza
Lemon Pepper Chicken Pasta
Beef Chinese Stir Fry
Meatloaf
Shredded BBQ Beef or Pork
Different kinds of soups

My husband is picky so alot of what I plan revolves around what he will eat.

We have a lot of chicken in my house:

Butter Chicken
Korma
Sweet Chilli
Soy & Garlic
Sweet & Sour
Tandoori
Mustard
Lemon & Garlic
Parma
Cordon Bleu
Kiev

Also:

Spaghetti Bolognaise
Lasagna
Typical steak & veg
Enchiladas
Devilled Sausages
Homemade pizza
Kids love pizza toast

We have usuals that I plug in around the new dishes I try. We are all picky in my house, but different kinda picky so its hard. Pastas do great for me and the kids, meat and bread is best for my husband and son. Kids will only eat fruits not veggies. I prefer veggies. Its a pita.

Spaghetti
Tortilla-ini
Ravioli
Taco Ring(pamper chef recipe)
Chicken and rice
lasagna
Sausage stir fry
tacos
pizza
sub sandwiches

I think thats the regular. Then I find recipes and modify them to something we would eat. I try to add one a week.

We're always thinking that we eat the same four or five dishes over and over, but we found differently when we actually listed everything we make on a regular basis.

Ranch Pork Chops
Spaghetti (either carbonara or with meatballs)
Butter beef
hamburgers
swiss chicken casserole
cream cheese chicken
lemonade chicken stir-fry
cottage pie
fish (usually tilapia or swordfish)
chicken parm subs
white chicken parm
ginger-ale pork loin
chicken saltimbocca
chicken kiev
bobolis (we try calling it pizza, but Devin insists that they're not really pizza because they don't come from Ian's or Papa John's)
meatball sandwiches
spanikopita meatballs
souvlaki
chichken enchiladas
tacos

We have a few others that aren't made as often. The ones above are made at least once a month though.

I've been really liking some of the recipes that Self has for their Self Challenge, and change products as needed if I don't like something that they have in the recipe. My favorites from this month are Farfalle With Veggies in Creamy Marinara (basically mix pasta sauce with Ricotta cheese) and the Apricot Glazed Pork Tenderloin.

These are my go-to meals:
*Brown sugar pork ribs with potatoes (leftovers are shredded and served over rice the next day)
*Mongolian beef & rice
*Green chili chicken enchiladas
*Salsa chicken
*Chicken fajitas
*Teriyaki chicken over rice
*Boring ol' beef spaghetti
*This cheesy beef potato casserole I made up that my husband loves

Staples on our menu:
Tacos (either with chicken, ground beef)
Spaghetti
Roast
Meat Loaf
BBQ Burgers or some adaptation of them (buffalo, beef, venison --whatever we happen to grab out)
Grilled Chicken
Soup (potato, veggie beef, Chicken tortilla, veggie,) with garlic bread or bread bowls

As I'm trying to go gluten-free and DH has been told to reduce his "white" foods (sugar levels), we've had to alter what our go to foods are.
What used to be in the list:
Salami-spinachicotta Rigatoni
Pasta with homemade sauce and sausage
Stir fry with rice (any meat)
Pork or chicken with pierogies
Kielbasa, apples and onions with a "sweet & sour" mustard sauce and couscous
Any of the Bertolli meals (except the shrimp ones)
Chicken & pasta carbonara
Roasted chicken (from the store) with rice and veggies

Now, I'm making a lot of risotto, substituting brown rice where I can and we are trying to substitute: couscous gets substituted with polenta, testing out whole grain brown rice pasta. And turkey chili with added cannelini beans is now a good mal for us. We're still learning and adjusting, so our go-tos are changing/evolving. At least the stir-fry is still a great go-to.

Leslie, if you're looking for a good GF pasta, we really like the DeBoles corn pasta. It's the one GF pasta we've tried that didn't get gummy or fall apart when we made it. I think it helped that it tastes a lot like semolina pasta.

Now I'm voluntary going gluten free... so I'm looking for new recipes or adaptations to favs...

I have found that I can use rice in place of most of my beloved pasta recipes with good success. We have many food allergies here so I am no stranger to recipe adaptation!

We are GF, too! Yeah for GF! :)

We eat mostly meat + sauce + rice, Mexican, and Asian since those are all GF friendly. Occasionally, I will 'translate' a regular recipe to GF.

Let's see... (corn) spaghetti, black bean chicken chili, pepper steak in the crockpot, roast + baked potatoes, meatloaf + Pioneer Woman's crash hot potatoes, pineapple chicken enchiladas, tacos, nachos supreme, Easy Company Chicken...

For GF recipes, check out glutenfreeda.com, ladies. :)
