Where have all the bloggers gone. . .?

It seems when I started blogging a couple years ago there were tons of other bloggers out there and the blog posts at DST, for instance, were several pages long. Nowadays, it's unusual to see more than 5 people post on a blog train here or anywhere else.

Where have all you bloggers gone???? Is everyone twittering or something else these days? Was it just a passing fad? Too much work?

Did I miss the memo?

I think alot of ppl have moved over to Facebook (and Twitter, although I still don't get that one)

I blog on my CT blog but I just don't visit at DST all that much to be honest. I like being in a smaller community.

Though I do tend to spend a bit of time on facebook and twitter now.

I still blog & most of the blogs I follow are still going strong. I think it depends on why people were blogging to begin with. If it was mostly just promoting business then twitter & facebook make much easier to keep up with as replacements . There was a bit there where everyone was jumping on blogging as a way to make money but that never panned out & lots of people stopped when it became clear there is only one Dooce & only one Pioneer Woman & they both work really hard for their money. :) Or they started one because everyone had one & it seemed like a fun idea but over time wasn't that fun to them & got lost in the mix of things to do.

I'm on Twitter & Facebook but they are just ways of chatting for me. I blog like I scrap, to tell stories & I can't do that in 140 characters. :) I love blogging.

i used to blog alot, but now i never do. For me, it was because i had a baby and because of facebook. I find it easier to just update my status, cos it only takes a few minutes. And im trying to scrapbook more in order to get all the stories down. I just dont have time to blog as well anymore. I do tend to use my facebook status updates as reminders or "jump starts" for layouts.

i tweet all. day. long. I'm very random and my blog posts were ending up like that too. Twitter is much better for my ADD

I still blog - mostly because it's now a habit. Plus, all my family live out of town and they follow it closely for peeks of the kiddos.

I blogged a few years back. Tried to start again this year and stopped as soon as I found twitter. Way easier and more enjoyable for me. Blogging is too much work, IMO.

100% ditto! :)

I just started up my personal blog again after taking the past few years off. I decided starting my blog back up would be the easiest way to keep everyone up to date on the grandkids, cousins, etc. (we moved away from my family.) I put it up at my old store site, Penny's Miscellany. I'm only at 3 posts, but it's a start! :)

Interesting thoughts, ladies. Thanks.

I guess I kind of hate Facebook - especially how they have so much control over what people see and the formats, and how they just change everything all the time. I like having control over my own blog, how it looks and all the settings.

I blog! And I am a bit behind on blogging..lol I rarely post on blog trains or anything though. I just figure if someone wanted to know what I was up to they would have found me by now, lol

I want to start a blog, but don't have the faintest idea how to LOL, I just did a facebook page and that was enough for me LOL! :D
