Question for Scan my photo's users...

Hi all! I'm about to send out a bunch of pictures for the Scan My Photos promotion. If you have used this service, did you pay extra to have them scan your photos in order? Mine are all in order and I put index cards with dates in front of the groups, but if they do a pretty good job of putting them in order to begin with, why pay the extra $25 to do that right?

Any input?
 
I haven't paid the extra $$ to have it done. Instead, I labeled each box that the photos came out of with a post it note, and used a felt tip pen to write the corresponding number on the back of the photos (ball point will leave impressions on the photos, which is why I used felt tip).

I'm pretty sure that the photos come out a mess, organizationally. So if it's important to you that they be in order, then you should pay the extra $$.
 
Colleen, where your pictures different sizes? I was hoping since mine are all the 4x6 for the promotion there would be no reason for them to move them around?
 
i didn't pay extra for arranging them in order. I did mine 2 years ago or so... maybe it was 3?? anyway.. I did about 2200 pictures and i love it! i went through and bucketed them into folders on my hard drive for the recent years (2003-current) and then before that i had them in types (school, mexico, dh, childhood etc)
 
Here is a link to the promotion...They are doing scanning 1000 pictures free (you pay 19.95 for return postage only) if you simply write a review of them and post it to your facebook. How easy is that?

I went ahead and chose to pay to put them in order. I worked too hard to get them in order to have them all messed up! :-)

Lucrecia, yes mine were all different sizes. I don't know the process of how it gets done, but I feel like they just grab handfulls out of the box, scan them, grab another random handful, scan them. IDK. I feel like if it were easy to keep them in order, they wouldn't charge to have it done.
 
I have mine rubber banded in 100 ct batches, I don't care what order the batches are scanned I just hope they scan the batches together. Don't care enough to pay though LOL. One more question - how did you mail them? I'm sending mine out Monday. Did you just do First Class with delivery confirmation?
