"Umm, Lena? There's a goat on our porch."

That's what Tab called me on the intercom to say this morning. We fed her tortilla chips and tied her to the tree and we're working on finding her owner.

Haha. Too funny. I thought it was a joke...until I saw the pics. The kids must find this fun.

I agree, we definitely need a goat kit so you can scrap this story.

I'll be waiting for the "Umm, Lena? There's a llama on our porch." follow up to this thread.

Seriously tho, that goat is really really sweet! Such a pretty face!

We have had a cow show up in our yard before. Our neighbor used to have a cow and it would get loose sometimes. Im surprised we have not had goats though because two neighbors have dozens of goats between the two. They must be pretty well trained because Ive never seen them out of their yards

The funniest part about the whole thing is that we are not that rural LOL. We don't live around farms or anything. A few people have goats but they aren't particularly near us, maybe 6-7 miles is the closest place with goats. We are just a stone's throw away from the city limits, granted the city is probably smaller than a football field and barely has anything to offer, just a little market, a post office, a diner and a church. A very strange way to start out the day indeed LOL!

hope you found its owner!

DH was over at friends when I called and said "theres a big bird in the yard and I can't let the dogs out" - I've never heard the end of that one lol. They didn't realize I was serioius - I finally had to add, no I mean a REALLY REALLY big bird in the yard, I think its an ostrich, its 6 feet tall or so. The sheriffs office had already gotten a call from the owners reporting it lost.
