so with our cupcake on the way we are trying to tidy up more.... and one of the biggest problems we have is that our dog sheds.... and I mean sheds. Shes both lab and husky, which are know for that problem.

its everywhere, no matter the amount of brushing and baths we still need a little extra. so I was wondering what youve used thats really worked!

thanks ahead of time ladies!!

our big Aussie sheds badly!! Our vet said just to brush him EVERY day and we also run the vacuum at least every other day. I'd invest in a good Vac...one that really picks up the hair and is made for shedding animals. Here's some @ Target

I'd LOVE the Dyson but we have this Bissell and it works fab

my parents use a metal horse brush on their big dog (really) it works amazingly.. so much better than any other dog brush they've used. I can't find anything tha tlooks like it through google of course.. haha. it doesnt hurt the dog though- and he loves it.. I'll keep looking.

We like the furminator (it's sort of a fancy comb)! It works pretty well. I take the dogs outside give them a great petting session and rub down with just my hands to loosen up any loose hairs. Then I use the furminator. It really helps keep our small apartment from being overrun with fur.

those work great. we have a golden retriever and he sheds a lot as well. i have misplaced our brush and have to get a new one now, lol. i currently have a dyson vacuum but its on its last legs; about 4 years old. i can't really afford another dyson unfortunately but i was looking at that Bissel pet hair eraser.

Are you referring to a Curry Comb? They do work good on other animals with thick fur.

I have a golden in a hot climate - I swear by this one

FURminator deShedding Tool

Its expensive but works!!!!!

I defenitely need to try one of these for our sheep. I have a two sided brush which does not work well at all but everytime we let them out of their pen to graze and I am playing with them they are shedding sooo bad.
