OMG my mom rocks!

My mom just made me cry in the best way. She just sent me a $20 GC to here to buy some stuff.

I haven't discussed here yet but I'm getting laid off from my job at the end of month. It is due to budget cuts and I've been at this job for 3 years and my coworkers are like family. Honestly, it has been really hard on me emotionally. So this little surprise just totally melted me.

I love my mom and I just wanted to share. I figured you ladies would understand.
 
Aw, that's so sweet. Don't you just love it when your Mum 'gets' you. Hopefully this change for you just means another door is about to open to a whole new kind of wonderful.
 
That is awesome! I would love a $20 card today because there is so much in the new releases I want! Sorry to hear about your job... :-(
 
Aww... that was so sweet of your mama!! I'm so sorry to hear about your job... I hope it all works out for you. All this downsizing... enough is enough! My step dad made it through the last downsizing... and just got word, that they are at it again... how many times do companies have to go through this stuff?

Thanks ladies for the wonderful words. My mom does totally get me. And yeah the job thing sucks big time mostly because I felt really secure in my job (I work for the county). As for getting my mom to give me a GC, she totally gets my scrapping (she is an art teacher so I think that helps). I just asked one day that for a present for my birthday to get me a GC rather than something else. And that was it she's been getting GC for me since then.

That is so sweet of her! I am sorry about your job , but glad you have a Mom who will support you through the tough time.
