OK, let's get serious about a getting together. I'm off on vacation next week, but how about something the last week of this month? Any day work better than others? My kids are old enough I can leave them home alone (as long as I have plenty of hot pockets in the freezer), so I'm available for anything.

I was thinking maybe somewhere downtown since it's fairly central. How about Playa Azul or Old Chicago in Old Town? I'd suggest the Artichoke (since I ate there yesterday and it was so yum), but I'm not sure it's the best place for an initial get together.
 
I would love to get together with everyone! I'm about an hour and a half out of Wichita but I'm off work at noon every day so I could be up there for dinner easily. ;)

When you say last week of the month are you thinking the 21st-25th or the 28th-July 2? The week of the 21st-25th is pretty much out for me as we have softball/tball games 4 nights that week and the tournament Friday through Sunday. But I would be pretty open for anything the very last week of the month as both softball and tball will be over by then. :)
 
Oh me me me! :) I'm open to just about anything. I'm not sure what I have going on at any given time, but if I know in advance, I can make anything work. I don't work outside the home, so I'm wide open.

Kim, I'm cracking up because we ate at the Artichoke this week, too! LOL! Wouldn't that have been funny if we'd been there at the same time?

My vote would be for Old Chicago in Old Town... yummy! Or if you guys just wanted like a coffee date, we could do something like Panera. Jeff also suggested River City Brewery in Old Town. I haven't been there yet, but he loves it.

Where do all of you Wichita girls live? I live in College Hill, so it's pretty easy to get just about anywhere.
 
I'm open to just about anything too, somewhere in Old Town works for me! I've never been to the Artichoke or Playa Azul but I do love Old Chicago so I'm good with meeting up there! Rob's off for the summer so he can keep the kids for me, I watch my niece & nephew a few days a week but that shouldn't be a problem to work around. I'm in Haysville so just south of town and it's pretty easy for me to get to just about anywhere too. And I will definitely remember to bring my camera along :)
 
I'm north of Wichita (by Cracker Barrell, if that helps) so I just jump on the canal route and I'm anywhere fairly quickly. Old Chicago it is then.

As for dates... how about June 30? That's a Wednesday. Shall we call it a late lunch and do it about 2 or 3? That gives us time to sit and chat while the restaurant isn't busy.

Libby, I was at Artichoke yesterday (Wednesday) with a group of my new coworkers. I don't think we got there until 12:30 or 1. The place was packed. We ended up clear in the back at separate tables, but we were able to scoot together as people left. I love their sandwiches!

Kim, we were at Artichoke on Monday. It was just the 2 of us, so we just sat at the bar. LOVE their BLTs.

Y'all keep posting your meet-ups...we OK girls might make it to one eventually!
 
LOL I just realized that I don't know that I'd recognize any of you guys in person. Should we tell the server that we're with the Sweet Shoppe group? I plan on being in jeans and a light blue button down top. I have dark hair just past my shoulders (probably wearing it straight tomorrow), and I think my boyfriend Jeff wants to come meet you guys too if no one has any objections.

If anyone wants to PM me, I'll give you my cell number, too, just to make sure we're all in the same place and everything.
 
i am so green with envy! i wish i was coming but i am going to have to miss tomorrow and meet up with you girls next :( i hope you all have a wonderful time though :)
 
Stacy, I was down in OKC last week... just drove down, turned around and came back, but on my way back I was kicking myself for not getting ahold of you for lunch while I was there! Another time for sure! It's only 2 hrs from my house, so if nothing else maybe we can meet in the middle for lunch sometime. :)
 
I had that same thought Libby! :blink: I have no idea what I'll be wearing - denim capris I'm sure. That's helpful, huh? Hopefully I'll recognize someone . . . :)
 
We were actually planning to spend this weekend in OKC, but decided to skip it so we can have $$ to spend on our 9 night trip later this month (to Branson, of course). Maybe we can plan something over a fall weekend so that I can bring my family...
