Okay, I'm venturing into something new to me. I've done a few altered notebooks and chipboard binders, but this time I want to attach a purchased closure to hold the binder shut. I need to punch 2 holes (about 1/8" diameter) in the thick chipboard, but I don't have any special tools for it. Is there anything I can use that I'm likely to have already? Thanks!

Have you seen a crop a dile, I love mine. I am not sure of the diameter of the holes they punch.

Do you have a regular hole punch? That would work. Or if you have a drill with the right sized bit you could use that, though it's kind of overkill. :-)

Thanks for the suggestions! It's pretty thick; technically I think it's called bookboard rather than chipboard. I ended up using a nail and then enlarging the hole a little with a screw since I couldn't find a big enough nail. If I did more hybrid scrapping I'd get a cropadile, but this worked perfectly for now. Here's what I made.

That turned out so cute!! And in all honesty, a crop-a-dile wouldn't have helped you with this project at all - it only punches in about 1 inch and it looks like your holes are in farther than that. You would have needed a Big Bite (table size version of the crop-a-dile), which is HUGE and quite expensive.
I need instructions, btw! I've been looking for the perfect address book!

Check your walmart clearance- I have found Big Bite's on clearance for about $1 more than the regular crop-a-dile!
