Silly question - are eyelets and grommets the same thing? I've been needing some of the jumbo size eyelets like in the SU catalog but was hoping I could find some in a local chain store? Last time I looked (long time ago) I could find grommets but can those be set with a crop-a-dile? Thanks!

Grommets are 2 pieces, and eyelets are only 1. I'm not sure if grommets can be set with the crop-o-dile, but I don't think they can. The openings in grommets are usually much bigger than eyelets and the crop-o-dile wouldn't fit right. Grommets are usually set by pounding the 2 pieces together with a hammer and a special little tool.
You can buy grommets at a craft store like Joann's, that has all the fabric and sewing notions. They also sell kits with the grommets and the hammering tool together.

you can get a grommet set at walmart, joann, michael's etc. and the starter kit comes with a tool that will allow you to set the grommets. usually they come in silver or gold.
