Web Host Suggestions?

Can anyone here recommend me a decent, affordable web site host?

I finally registered my domain name and now I have to choose a host?

What about designing the site?
I know I could do it myself, but maybe a little further down the road??

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi, I'm new here. :) Just noticed your post and thought I'd pipe in about my webhost since I feel very confident in recommending them. http://www.lunarpages.com/. Their basic package is great and is one you definitely won't outgrow anytime soon... tons of storage which is nice for a graphics heavy site! It also comes with a lot of options that will help you get a site up and running quite easily.

I've used them personally for a couple years now, and find them to be extremely reliable and well run. I also help run a site that has used them for a several years and that is why I chose them. We have had essentially no downtime during the life of the site other than a couple barely noticeable blips.

I've used www.Powweb.com for just over a year now (didn't use any other service before) and have been very happy with them. They have a sale going on right now- $5.77/month for the first year ($7.77 after that). I host my WordPress blog there and use it as a "mini" site. :) Good luck!

whatever you do DO NOT go with Influx host..the STINK big time...the server my site was on was hacked twice last year til I finally moved sites. I'm at angeltowns now just b/c they were cheap (I think 40/year for archangel) and they have been great.
