I've been looking forever for a nice Christmas Card holder forever and haven't been able to find something I really liked, so today, I went to Hobby Lobby after I dropped Keira off at school and got some stuff. I'm not sure if it'll hold all of the cards I get, but I'm hoping so.

What do you think. I can't stop looking at it. LOL! I'm so proud of myself.

Super simple to make.

The frame I got in like the canvas section, its just 4 pieces that you push together. I used white acrylic paint, and then I hot glued the ribbon to the back. I got the mini clothes pins at hobby lobby too.

I think in total I spent about $12.50 making it. I'm probably going to staple the ribbons on the back, just to make it more secure. I guess it'll depend on how well it holds up.

super cute. let me know if you blog about it. i'd love to add it to my blog. i post daily crafty ideas and inspiration. thanks!

what a crafty idea!!!! I could see lots of uses of this outside of Christmas... bill/mail center, notes from school, kids artwork... that is awesome!!

Really clever and pretty. Love how simple yet smart the whole idea is (those red and green ribbons are perfect). And yup, I know the situation where you keep looking for something in stores and then you just give up and create it in one evening. So rewarding. :-)

Might do something like this one day - more generic, for cards in general. So far I attach them with a magnet over the, ahem, fusebox (hope that's the right word in English) - the only thing that will take magnets in my flat. :-)

And I have those mini pins, have had them for ages - FINALLY an idea what do to with them. :-)

Looks awesome Vanessa!! Ours are going over the tinsel I've hung up between the kitchen and loungeroom, but this looks so much better!

i'm going to use a door frame in my kitchen (we have french doors into the living room that are never open) and steal your idea. i'm off to michael's today for mini clothespins and ribbon! :) thanks for sharing this!
