Santa is SO doing this for the kidlets!

Isn't this the cutest? I'm so super excited about this idea! Play Office

It's the first year that I won't have all 3 kids for Christmas, they are going to their fathers' houses. Next year all 3 will be with us. We'll pick all of them up at noon on the 26th, bring them back home and open presents, etc, then. I want to take advantage of the fact that from the 24th to the 26th, we'll have a kid-free house to set up Christmas! (no staying up late on Christmas eve tiptoeing around). So I feel like we can do more creative things with our free time and space, and I want to do this for them. I think they'd really love it!

James and I have a romantic few days planned and I'm looking forward to a low-key quiet holiday, but when the kids come back I think they'll be shocked at what Santa and his elves accomplished!

What a great idea. Kids like that kind of play so much. I can't wait to hear about their reactions to what Santa left. It's like a mini home makeover for kids. I left and came home and there was an office.

Plus, I noticed on that site the post about taking those peppermint candies and melting them into a lolly. Which works out great for me since I'm concentrating on trying out new recipes for my December Daily album this year -- and I actually have the ingredients on hand. Thanks for posting.

this is so cool. I have an old keyboard just floating around in the computer room and I know there are a ton of old phones. I am so going to do this tonight too! Thanks for sharing this link!

That is so fabulous! At the little preschool at the rec center (where I took my son last year ages 2-4) everyday they set up a different collection of toys. One of the days was 'office/computer'. They had tons of old keyboards, phones, adding machines etc...just for the kids to play with!
