DH got laid off today and of course most business have already hired their seasonal staff. His boss called him in today with no warning and said that for the last two months they've been debating layouts, with no warning to staff and he got cut. Now he has to try to find work before Xmas or else he'll be one of many that are laid off after Xmas looking for work. 
He's taking it better than me I think but then he doesn't know how tough the job market is right now. We just moved into a more expensive place last spring and we really can't afford to be a one income family for long.
I'd really appreciate your positive thoughts for him and his job search.
