Please Share Creative Journalling Ideas

I would love it if we could share creative ideas for journalling. I love how Nettio creatively journals with lists and I know that there are lots of other awesomely creative people here. I've seen Misty Cato's newspaper pages and templates and think they're amazing. Getting words on to a page can be so difficult. I have books of quotations, but I would love to get some ideas to make pages more authentic and personal through journalling.

Something I have seen around and LOVED it: A photo and then journaling about that moment in a "fill-in list" way. Like seeing, hearing, feelig, smelling...

Here is an example of a page in a mini book by Molly Irwin (showcased on Ali Edwards blog):

I generally love the "fill-in" lists. For example I did a mini book page about a favourite cookie and milkshake store in Belfast. And the journaling was just a list "My fav. shake = XXX, BF's fav. shake = YYY, my fav cookie = AAA, BF's fav cookie = BBB". To me that told enough of the story and captured some details, we might forget soon enough.

My first tip is to keep paper or a small notebook (or a notetaking app on a phone) handy. Whether you're scrapping kids, friends, or relatives, you can try writing down a few quotes or conversations with them to use on your pages later. Then I type up the notes and store the document with the photos I want to pair them with.

Most of my journaling is pretty straight forward, but every year I also do a birthday interview with my kids. When they're little I do it for them, but now 2 of mine are old enough to answer for themselves. I include things like favorite book/video/color/food/game/seasonal activity as well as some info I fill in, like height, weight, and clothing size.

In Feb of last year, Log Your Memory had journaling challenge and we had examples of 14 different types of journaling...

I would totally recommend Log Your Memory for inspiration when it comes to journaling... and not because I'm on their creative team... I just think they totally rock!!

This is brilliant! So many ideas! Thank you!

I'm really looking for unique and interesting ways of journalling. It is not easy to get words on paper. Often, the advice is to "just write" but that doesn't really work for me. I need the prompts.
