that when you do something fun/nice for the kids, like take them to the beach for 3 hrs in the morning...*i'm* the one that winds up more tired? :blink:
 
hahaha. yes. i am definitely old...and worn out!

we do have a beach. there's a ton of old strip mines here and they've made them into rec clubs. camping/beach/all that jazz. well worth the dues we pay yearly.
 
I will send the sun and heat your way Angie. Its nearly 100 degrees today. Too stinking hot for this early in the summer.
 
i really shouldn't call her old..b/c she's younger than me haha what's that make me?

I am older than her, so I know I am OLD......i just spent over an hour in my front yard and my old back is killing me!!!!!!!!
 
My problem is that the kids don't wear out, just get more whiney and annoying and I'm tired and cranky and don't want to deal with them. Which is why they are in their rooms taking a quiet time today after 6 days of Disney madness.

And yes we are 100 degrees here too and it looks like it will be for the next 6 days. ugh. Hello $300 electricity bills! I would gladly send some of this up to the PNW for a while! You all can send some rain! No tornadoes please.
 
today is the first day the sun has been out since last summer....I SWEAR!!!!! trying to take advantage of it in my yard!

this is what happens here too!! i had the baby (well, she's hardly a baby anymore *sniff*) lay down for her nap and the 2 older ones sit for some quiet time. m woke up crying about an hr later and hasn't stopped whining since.

...and i'm totally at peace with being an old lady. but meg...you'll ALWAYS be older :p
