Shadowing Question

I'm a little curious......

When you use templates do you keep the shadows as they are or do you change the shadows?
 
I *usually* delete all the shadows and do my own. But I have used the template shadows before if they're really good. Really good template designers often have good ones.
 
I change them. It is one of the first things I do when I open up a template is select all the layers except the text layers and put a basic paper layer style on them. Otherwise I would forget to switch them and then my shadows would be wonky.
 
I change them to my own as well. My eyes just can't get used to a different angle or depth. I have to have them in my style or it looks weird to me.

I always change them because I use linear burn and most templates are done with multiply.
 
I always change mine, too. Even if they're going the same direction and everything, I still like to use my settings.

Exactly what I do too!
 
It just depends on my LO. Sometimes I keep them and sometimes I start from scratch. I notice that I keep Cindy's shadows more than other template designers.

I am slowing learning more about shadowing though. So I am sure the more confident I get with that skill the more that I will change it around and customize.

Since I use Jenn's styles I have the same feeling....it just looks weird if they are different. So I change them!
 
I always change them - I like all my layouts to be shadowed in the same way in case I decide to print them off in a book together
 
I used to keep the ones on Cindy's templates and then match everything to those. Now, I use Jenn's shadows so I don't use the shadows that come with the templates any more.
