Question about retired designers...

Now that Fee is retiring :crying:, that means we can't post layouts in the gallery that use her kits - is that correct?
 
I posted one today because I see her sale is still going on and I couldn't remember when her "official" retirement date was. I can delete it if she's officially retired as of today.
 
Her official retirement is the 15th.

You still could post layouts with her stuff if you were also using, say one of Cindy, Darcy, or Janet's templates (which is probably what I'll do, cause I have a bunch of her kits that I haven't played with yet). Or, if you have a bunch of other SSD stuff on a layout that includes Fee's stuff. But, if it was ONLY Fee, yeah. . . .

But it also has Cindy's template and Darcy's font - and I think that makes it okay too :)
 
Cool, I didn't realize as long as you use other SSD stuff it was ok to use a retired designer's kits. I have so many of Fee's that I haven't used as much as I want to, but I use a template by Cindy or Janet 95% of the time, so I'm good to go :thumbup:
 
Using an SSD template makes it okay for gallery posting, but not for points in the portfolio. Most of my LOs are for the Portfolio or my CTs, so I won't be able to use Fee's stuff for them. :(
 
Any of Darcy's fonts, as long as the journaling is significant, makes a layout OK to post in the gallery. Doesn't have to be a SSD kit. Same with templates -- you can use a non-SSD kit and still post the layout in the gallery.

Rules are different for portfolio. I don't do that but I'd guess there are rules somewhere on the boards. For the gallery, however, it just has to feature an SSD product as a significant part of the layout.
 
I am glad this is posted, because I am in a CT outside SSD. For her kits I always use a Cindy or SSD template and a Darcy font because my totally updated gallery is here....and I want to keep it complete :thumbup:

I don't play with the portfolios quite often...want that again in 2012. I just haven't got enough time in 2011 to do everything I want LOL.
 
Leontine - we'd appreciate it if you put a Cindy template up as a CT member with kits outside of SSD, that you do it in Cindy's gallery. It'll show up in your own member gallery if one clicks on your personal gallery, so yours will still be complete.

That would be the same if you use a font of mine only, and it is a significant amount of the layout, and you use another store kit, please post it only in my gallery.

I think I already do that. I have three options....I mostly choose kitdesigner and Cindy....and if I use an outside SSD kit I choose you as third spot....that's what you mean right?
