Nov 13: 30 Days of Thanks

I am thankful for my son, Robert. We have been through lots of ups and downs but one thing is for certain..........I love him more than he will ever know. He is a hard working young man and I am so proud of him.

I am Thankful for being able to sleep in till 10am and the kids eating leftover for breakfast .

Day 13: Today I am thankful for my sweet fur-babies, especially my fat cat, Sammy. Not gonna lie; he's my favorite.

Today I'm thankful for my sewing machine and the fact that I taught myself to sew! I don't make a lot of intricate things, but I love the fact that if I see something that I want to make for my family I can and I have the machine and all the little doo dads to make it!!

Today I'm thankful for fun times with my nephews. They make my son laugh hysterically, play more actively than normal and all around create interesting conversations.

I'm thankful for my Ian bud. He is a lot like me--sensitive and shy but sweet and loving too. Our family would not be complete without him.

Missed a few days and getting caught up now, but I am thankful today for random acts of kindness.

I was at a restaurant today, and saw this family with an adorable baby toy. I asked the lady where she had purchased it, just thinking, "I'd love to buy one." She looked at me and said "Oh thank goodness. My son HATES this toy... here." and just gave it to me! Oh my gosh! I was shocked, and of course asked "Are you certain? I'd hate to take it from you," and she said "I'm sure! He isn't interested and your baby is so cute!" It was just so sweet and very random!

Today I am thankful for my husband being home most of the day today with us and my babies wanting to play with me.

Today I'm thankful for all the conveniences of modern life. I listened to a book on my MP3 player while I did housework, made a super-quick dinner by opening cans of beans and corn and boiling brown rice in a bag, looked up information online and had an answer in moments, turned on lights when it started to get dark, turned up the heat when it got cold, and talked to relatives who are hundreds of miles away.

Today I am thankful that we live close to our families. It's awesome that our kids get to see their grandparents on a regular basis and spend birthdays and holidays with them. They are also available to come to things like school parties, soccer games, baseball games, Christmas programs and Grandma is even called on occasion to babysit :)
