Prayers and Positive thoughts needed!

So i had an UTI for the first time 3 weeks back. I thought if i drank lots of water and cranberry juice it would go away. But it never did. i went to the ER later and I was put on Cipro. I started getting better and at the end of the course the UTI was back. After the culture they found it was Cipro resistant. I made an appointment with an Urologist and had to get a CT scan done. It was all clear and she put me on Gentamycin last week. It worked. It was a stressful couple of weeks and i realized that I missed my periods by two days. I took a HPT and it was positive. I am now 4 weeks pregnant (Thanx to all the SSD water:) )and though i am excited i do not know what the effects of the radiation and antibiotics are on the baby.We have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now.
The earliest appointment i could get to see my Gynae is on the 8th of dec. and the wait is already killing me!! I'd really appreciate it if you all could spare some prayers and positive thoughts.

Oh goodness, what an experience!! Congratulations, and I'll keep you guys in my prayers that all is well with your new little one! :)
 
Oh Sugi! Wow! Congrats! If it makes you feel any better, I was on the birth control pill for the first 2 months of my pregnancy, AND I had dental work & xrays done before I knew. I was a nervous wreck thinking about what I'd done to my unborn baby, but so far, everything seems just fine. Will be sending you lots of sticky baby vibes and prayers that everything turns out ok!

Congratulations Sugi! I will pray for you and the bub. I'm sure everything will be just fine.

On a side note...our kiddos will be very close in age! I am about 6 weeks along and the first I could get into my OB is Dec 9th. So I totally know how you are feeling about waiting - it seems like an eternity away!

I know firsthand how horrible UTI are...I had one a few years ago and ended up in the ER on Thanksgiving b/c I was in so much pain and it turned into a kidney infection! I hope you get relief soon!!!
 
Congrats Sugi! That's so exciting.
One of my friends was also on UTI antibiotics and was xayed during the first weeks of her pregnancy (she didn't know as well) and she has a healthy and beautiful baby girl. I'm sure everything is going be okay for you, too.
