Program other than PSE?

I have and use Photoshop Elements. The problem I have is my vision is not great and I have avery hard time seeing the tools on the screen. :( I am working on a laptop. I have tried everything I can to enlarge the screen. Nothing works. I have tried using a magnifying glass but that is a pain too.
So,,,,is there a different program I can try that would be easier to see? I am a pretty basic digi scrapper. I don't make my own things. Just shop here and make my pages.

Any ideas? I am hardly even scrapping these days as it just gets so frustrating. :(

I think you'd have the same problem no matter what program you're using. I don't have PSE, but in PS which has a similar view, you can edit your settings to enlarge the palette views. A viable option would be to buy a larger monitor and use it externally to your laptop ... but I'd probably hit up the optometrist and/or opthamologist to see about getting your prescription updated first, you definitely shouldn't need a magnifying glass to see the tools! Good luck!

I'm not sure this would work, but what about changing the resolution of your screen? Here is an article from Microsoft on how to do it. If you look at their example photos, you'll see that the lower resolution gives bigger icons and tools. Maybe that could work? Hope that helps!

I think you're going to run into problems like that with any program you use. Can you increase your screen resolution to make the workspace larger?

I use Storybook Creator 3.0+ - it's a very good program for non-designers, easy to use, intuitive. They have a trial version you can download on the Creative Memories site (though they are on version 4.0 now) - perhaps you could give it a try and see what it looks and feels like on your laptop. I agree - working on a laptop is so much more difficult on the eyes. I use Photoshop on my laptop and much prefer to use Storybook on my desktop. Good luck!
