Last night I was sucked into Pinterest and somehow traveled all of the world wide web. I ended up at an Etsy store where I saw these adorable printables. Well I tried to make one of my own. I made it for the husband for our anniversary. Im not sure how I feel about it yet. And although I am here to ask for opinions don't be too harsh! This is my first attempt at something like this :o

(The background is just white. The tree is from Dani Mogstad's Happy Fall Y'All, the heart is from KCB's Deck the Halls: Natural and the birds are from Sahlin Studio's Grandma's Closet. The font is my custom print by Darcy.)

Maybe you can change the blend mode on the font and see if you like that better, like maybe you can get it to look like it's etched in or burned in... does that make sense?
 
Coila! I think it's fabulous! I agree with Heather that it might be fun to play with the text a bit and see if you can make it look like it's etched into the tree. But, honestly, no matter what . . . it is so cute!

I am going to print it and frame it. There is a frame I really want from Ikea! I'll take a picture when it's all framed :)
 
That is SO cute!! If you change the font colour to brown, then use linear burn (adjusting opacity) that might work.

That is a super cute idea!! It's going to look awesome once you get it framed :)

I agree with Heather about the initials, but otherwise, looks fantastic!
 
Oh it's adorable! I'm a big fan of etchings on things like trees - I'm working on our Save the Dates right now and had one version with a Jen [heart] Andy etched onto a beehive. It's not in the final, but it was cute. You did a great job! What a sweet little gift.
