Baby Album Suggestions

Ok so I have 2 friends who are both pregnant and due in June-ish. One is having a boy, one is having a girl. So for their showers, I'm planning on pre-making a baby's first year type album (neither of them are scrapbookers). It's going to be paper, but I will probably do some digital stuff with it too. I want to make a 2 page LO for each month, but I want to do more with it than just those 24 pages (cuz I'm a glutton for punishment).

So what other kind of pages would you suggest adding? I was thinking of opening with a "waiting for you" type page, a single page where the mom and dad can take a picture together and write about what it was like waiting for them to arrive.

I'm going to make a page for hand prints and footprints. I was thinking of making one for the nursery's. But what else?

I also want to make a "checklist" sort of thing for babies first for them to keep track of, but since I've never had a baby I need help with all those important first too! I know rolling over, first tooth, crawling. What else?

I'm also going to send a Build-a-bear with each album, and 2 disposable cameras. Then they can take the 1 month, 2 month, etc pics with the bear to see how much the baby has grown.

How about a Meeting You Page: Like first hospital pics with family.
A This Day In History Page: List prices of things, top songs, top movies, top tv shows...I love these pages of my boys.
An immunization chart/Well Baby Check UPs list
I'll keep thinkin.

Our House:Your Room:Pics of the house the baby comes home too, and the room.
A visitors log...I love this page too...Keep track of who comes to the hospital:and home. I also used this page to keep track of what people brought as gifts to the hospital.

What a cute idea!

I would do a page for the first birthday party, for cake pics and such.

For firsts...
first smile
laugh
sleep through the night
solid food
table food
sitting up
word
clapping

if you wanted to go really crazy, you could do a page for each big holiday...easter, halloween, christmas, etc.

maybe a first haircut page with a little envelope for a bit of the hair

sounds like they are going to be great albums and your friends are going to be so touched

another thought . . . maybe pages for grandparents/cousins/pets/siblings, depending on their situation . . .

are you going to show us pics of the finished albums? :)

I look at it as practice for whenever down the road we have our kids, lol.

I just know I need to get started if I ever hope to finish by the end of April, lol. The only saving grace is that the 2 albums will be dang close to identical. I bought the DCWV Nursery stacks in the boy and girl themes, plus the chipboard, and double of all other baby things I bought. So hopefully that will make it easier. We'll see, lol.

Mimi of course I will! I try and take pictures of all the projects I finish, since I give most of them away, lol.

I don't know if it was mentioned but I would do a baby shower(s) page or sure and maybe a page where she can list who gave her what !!!! Also I would add pages about the grandparents, God Parents ( if they do that ), Christening, etc..

I did this for the big boys and Scott and I both did it for Landen, I love reading them!

I figured there were enough moms in here that could help me out big time wtih this! Lol! I'm writing everything down. I think I'll work on some sketches tomorrow and then I can start working on the pages on friday night. I'm excited!

First bath, first tooth, I love Mommy, I love Daddy (pages for photos with each parent alone); Grandparents, Sibling pages if any. Sorry if any are dupes, I tried to read them all first!

What a great gift! I never kept up with any of the baby books. But, for my first dd, I tried to keep up a little. I know you said you are doing a handprint footprint page already, but I know for us, we did them a few times a year to see how much bigger they got. Maybe if you need more filler pages, you can add a 4 mos, 8 mos, 1 year page in there for more handprints.
