The closest Archivers to me is about 3 hours away in Kansas City and I would love to go there sometime! The last time we were in KC I couldn't convince anyone else in my family that going to a scrapbooking store would be a fun time :glare:

But how cool that you scored some BG albums on clearance!!

my archivers is literally 2 mins away now that we have moved...but they aren't very helpful there :( I knew more than the lady that helped me did :-x (and that's a stretch lol)

Nearest Archivers to me is about 45 minutes. They 'said' they don't have any. :( Oh well, I'll be ordering mine from the shoppe. By the time I made the trip up there with gas as high as it is I sure wouldn't be saving anything. It's just that I'm such an instant gratification kind of girl. I hate to wait for shipping.

Shipping was super fast actually from the shoppe. I ordered on sunday and got mine wednesday. :)

digi-gee, if the nearest Archiver's near you is just north of Cincinnati, then I can say that this past Tuesday I went and I didn't see any. They had a couple of BG clearance items, but I didn't see any keychain ones. If anyone ever needs someone to check for something at the Mason (Cincy) Archivers, so they don't waste a trip, I can do it (I work just down the road from it).

I have a Michael's 3 1/2 hours away, and that's IT. Nothing else anywhere. When we move in a couple of months, that Michael's will be 9 hours away.

me either.. i'm assuming it's a craft store?

Yes it's a big wonderful Scrapbooking store. Carries tons of high end products (like Maya Road, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, etc etc).

However, they are pretty much nowhere in teh Northeast. They're part of Michael's actually. The NE used to have Recollections, but it was also owned by Michael's and they decided to focus on Archivers instead.

Now if they were SMART, they would've just converted the Recollections stores into Archivers in order to keep their client base. But they suck, and they didn't, and now I have no good local scrapbook stores. :(

Yeah...we have no Archivers in the Northeast at all. Just a bunch of LSSs. And our LSSs seem to do well. None have closed in a LONG time. But they tend to not restock frequently so, the bracket albums sold out and they haven't replaced them.

Anyway, I ordered mine from here also and Robin is REALLY fast on shipping. I got my albums in just a couple days.

Did you go to the one in Buford? I wanna go tomorrow for some embellies, but I'm curious as to how dumb they are in there if they don't know what a keyplate album is.

We don't have an Archivers here (I always wanted to go to one, though...lol), but my favorite LSS in the city is awesome...if I go in and ask if they have something that they normally carry but are out of stock (or a company they normally order from) they'll put me on pre-order and as soon as that product comes in, they call me, ask how many I want and then hold them behind the desk until I can come in and pay/pick them up.

my archivers didn't know what they were :( lol

The closest LSS to me didn't know what the chipboard albums were. They thought I just wanted one piece of chipboard that was like 10x10 to do a page on... No, I said I wanted an ALBUM. Thank goodness Robin is carrying them here so I don't have to deal with the dumb people out there. And they call themselves scrapbookers... ha! :):):)
