I've got the book on my shelf (err...floor) here to read soon...I just saw that it's a made-for-TV movie on Lifetime, too?

Yup -- I did't LOVE LOVE The book but I did like it and think the movie will be better -- which is rare.

i LOVED that book. like, it's amazing.
i'm a bit torn about turning it into a movie, though. i'm sure it'll be good. but yeah. the book is always better.

I will have to go look it up to read. Even though the movie is never as good as the book (with the exception being the Tom Clancy novels like Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games).

What's the book about?

oh i just read that book, loved it.

a doctor helps his wife give birth to twins (which they did not know) and one twin has Down's syndrome. The doctor gives the baby away but tells his wife the baby was born dead.

eta: I thought the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was better than the book. but maybe that is b/c i saw the movie first?

I always am disappointed in book-made-into-movies. Hoping to get to watch it though. I heard so much about it and was a bit disappointed even though the book was good. I think they could have done more with the book.

I really liked the book. I think I didn't love it because of the topic (just a little too sad for me), so I'll be excited to see it as a movie.

Am I the only one who didn't like this book that much? A few of us girls on Natalie Braxton's CT read it at the same time a couple weeks ago, and we pretty much all felt the same about it. I kept reading and was interested just 'cause I had to see how it ended. But I thought the whole thing was terribly depressing and I thought the ending really had no closure. Ugh! I'll probably see the movie, though, just to compare.

I thought it was a little depressing too- Made me cry - I don't need a book for that - I can just look at my checking account!!!
