See this is what happens when I try to think outside my reguilar little box and do something different (i.e. no circles, ha ha!). I was going for like a bulletin board effect with this LO today...I thought the idea was perfect and the kit was perfect, but something got lost in the translation I think. Anyone have any CC for me? I Promise I can take it like a big girl

It's hard to stay away from those circles isn't it....I have the same problem! LOL! I don't think there is anything wrong with your LO, it's super cute and fun to look at! The gallery is just really slow sometimes (if the lack of views is what you mean about "bombing")! :)

nah..I've learned (or at least I hope so) that it's not about getting comments. I just know I didn't have that FEELING when I was done with it, that I liked it or that I would be happy enough to print it. I just can't put my finger on it....I swear it's the circle thing! LOL

I think it's really cute and creative, but since you wanted CC, here's a thought. Is there a way to tuck some of the pictures and things in behind some ribbon so it looks like an actual memory board. That would look really neat!
Really though, I think it's fine the way it is. I love the colors.

I was going to say the same things as Rochelle, but I really think it's cute as is! Oh, you know what would be cute, little friendship pricetags or movie stubs. I'm trying to think of things girls would have on their bulletin board, LOL!

I think that's a great idea, but I agree with Rochelle. Is there any way to tuck the pics under ribbons? Other than that, I think its fabulous!

it looks like everything is just on top of the memory board and I think that maybe your ribbons are criss crossed too close together - space them apart more.
here are some google examples:

oooh I think you girls are onto something here! LOVE both ideas, of sticking stuff under ribbon and some more "memorabilia" type stuff. Will rework it in the morning and show you the results. Thanks SO much for the ideas!

I think the big thing for me is that it needs more dimension. What about curling edges on your photos and pins that stick out a bit more? More exaggerated shadowing might help as well. I see that we had the same idea...here's mine that I did earlier this week: Hunt (http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/inspiration/showphoto.php?photo=31064&ppuser=874).

I have a Lo I did like this one (NON-SSD stuff or I would post it) but I did tuck some of the pics under the ribbons and such. I do like your LO a lot though, really cute and creative.

I wouldn't say that is a bombed layout at all Amy. I think it is very cute. I do love Amber and Chelsey's ideas of layering and the shadows.
i have a page that i did like that as well too ... and my only CC would be the same as some of the others - put some of the pics behind the ribbon and add some curl to the edges ... i think your page is adorable - the colors are great!! also - the idea about the ticket stubs is GREAT! :) and - maybe think of what it would be like if it were 'real' - maybe the doodle font would have to be on paper? b/c you wouldn't really write on the fabric ? IDK - it's adorable as is :)

HAAAAAAAA my daughter so WOULD write directly on the fabric, unfortunately, lol. She wrote alllll over the actual cork of her bulletin board with a sharpie, lol. But yea I think i will change that on my layout. No one needs to know what a messy my daughter is, right? :)
