always check the kid :D :D

I couldn't figure out where all my laundry quarters went.. Then I see connor carrying around this lil bag of change-- low and behold, $10 worth of quarters and more pennies & nickels than I care to count :D :D He said he needed them so he could go on a picnic :D :D :D

LOL! And it just doesn't get any better! If my youngest would only ask for a ten a pop...I would be so surprised!

One time when Zak was in the 1st grade I had left the phone bill money on top the entertainment center, the school lunch lady called me and asked me if I gave Zak $200 to put on his lunch account!

I wouldn't have missed it for a few days, but DANG, can you think of how many times he could have lost that between school and home?

Thank goodess I work at the school and they knew I would never send that much money in cash to school with him for his dang LUNCH account!

Crazy kids!

:D

My nephew is convinced I'm rich beyond belief because of the old pyrex dish where we toss all our spare change... looks like a pirate's treasure chest full of all sorts of valuable booty to him!

LOl! Glad you found it. My girls like to go in our closet and get daddy's change. I figure it keeps me from having to dig it out of the wash, so it's win win!

Now get this - Our neighbors opened up their 6 year old's piggy bank and found over $300 in $20 bills. Apparently, the dad would get money out of the ATM for he & his wife, and when a bill was missing, he just assumed his wife had grabbed what she needed. Never occurred to him that his dds was taking what she needed, too!

Children are thieves...........my kids steal $$ all the time. Thankfully I know them better than I think they do, I always assume they took it first and I also know their hiding places too...they don't know that though!!!!

i keep all of my change in the car. but i'm famous for leaving my tip money in the back pocket of my jeans after work. and forgetting to take it out before i do laundry. so it gets washed. and i sometimes don't notice. so i lose $5's and $1's all the time. but i know where they go. my brother takes 'em. but that's fine. cause i just make him pay to put gas in the car.

at least it's only quarters, la.

We have a bulk hot chocolate container that we dump change in. It's only half full and it is heavy!

Ds1 is always collecting the change lying around the house. When DH & I bought our new washer & dryer we spent a lot of time talking about how much money we could spend on it. DS1 heard us and brought me all the change he had collected saying "I'll help you pay for it Mama" :)

My dd always asked if she could have change!! I always let her have whatever she wanted but she always knew she better ask first!! I say take him on a picnic since he went to all the trouble of finding the money....:D

New favorite phrase: '... that would buy a lot of hotdogs.'

Hypothetical Monday night conversation:
BF: Where do you want to go to dinner?
ME: I dunno. What are you feelin' like?
BF: Maybe Noodles & Co?
ME: Well, THAT WOULD BUY A LOT OF HOTDOGS!

... and scene. *curtsey*

my daughter is forever taking any money she finds anywhere...laundry, floor, in the furniture, on my desk, in the car, etc. And then we go to the store, she asks for candy or something and I say no, she goes well I'll just buy it with MY money then. Had fun explaining to her that just cause you find it don't makes it your honey! LOL

LOL! Kassi steals change all the time. Once I told her she could put her dad's change in her little piggy bank, now she thinks it's free for all. Grab whatever you see in the house LOL
