Good-bye Hello

So I tried to sign up for a new Hello account per Sara's idea.

and this is the message I got!

All good things come to an end. So it is with sadness that we say goodbye to Hello.
Hello will be shut down on May 15th.
We originally embarked on a mission to make photo sharing easier and more fun with Hello. We plan to keep carrying that torch in new projects to come.
We hope that you continue to enjoy the other sharing products Google offers including Picasa, Picasa Web Albums and Google Talk.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! This would explain why I had a bloody-heck of a time fixing Hello this week. It was down for 2 weeks before I was finally able to repair it. GAH! What on earth will I do w/o Hello????

Ok, here's a problem... I don't use my gmail acct for ANYTHING. I only had to sign up for it in the first place for a Google group I was part of. So, 1/2 of the features will be useless to me, or I'll have to try to switch from Yahoo to Gmail, which I'm not willing to do. I've used my Yahoo acct. for, gosh, 10-11 years now.

I still can't install Goober. The download file is corrupt or something and their support forums are in German (?).

I use Google chat somewhat, but it doesn't do anywhere NEAR what I want it to.

Ok, we all so need to start a petition!!!!! This is blasphemous!! I am so in love with Hello!! That Goober chat is super blech!!! I am so annoyed right now about this... which is silly because it is just a chat feature but WTF?? I can't see any reaon why Google's uber-billion $$$ empire can't keep this going.

I use the gmail IM a little bit but not sure if that is what ya'll are referring to with google chat... b/c I know you can't share pics with that...

I've used qnext for a few weeks now, it's not as easy as Hello, but it's nice because not everone needs to have it...if I've got it installed and have all my accounts hooked up (gmail, msn, yahoo and aim), I can share photos with you. You can't do screenshots with Qnext, but you can with Goober.

The reason I like Qnext so much though is because everyone is all rolled into one. And it works on Macs, where Goober doesn't. :) It also lets you share files and send music (I tested it to see what exactly it does - it just puts it on a streaming website so the person you send to can't download it, but can listen to it. It's kinda cool. :)

Well, I don't know about yours but after I d/l'd Goober is when I started having issues.... I think I'll try Qnext and delete Goober completely. Besides, goober sounds too much like BOOGER to me... :p
