Anyone else a Nascar widow?

I so hate that our weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, then if we have to tape some of it because DH falls asleep, Saturday and Sunday afternoons too) are filled with Nascar (Nationwide too)!! DH doesn't get anything done around the house and we don't get to catch up on the shows we recorded because we couldn't watch during the week! I don't mind watching a race, but not when it consumes our WHOLE weekend!! Mandy, don't say a word. LOL

I'm no good to ya either sweets,lol. I'm a huge, huge NASCAR fan,lol. I can understand your frustration though. It'd be nice to have some time for your other things.
 
Seriously. It's sick.

My DH has our 4 yr old son squealing Juuuuuuuuuuuuunior like a crazed pre-teen girl. I want to cry. So instead? Digi shopping.

(and I getcha. we have preace shows, races, races, races - post race interviews - then random acts of shouting... during any of those aforementioned shows)

I don't get it.
 
Oh yep, my DH and FIL have gotten my 6 year old daughter rooting for Jr. ever since she was 3 or so. Like she really knows why she's yelling his name and gets excited when ever she sees the red 8 car (hasn't gotten used to the 88 yet).

My mother's day present?
We DVR'ed the race tonight til I got off work.
Pizza, Nascar and cuddling on the couch.
Awwwwwwww yeah....Mother's Day is good. :thumbup:
 
BTW, we just watched last week's race and OMG, Jr. was robbed!! I reeeaaallly dislike Busch...he's such a bugger.
 
I myself am a NASCAR JUNKIE!!!!! DH likes it but not LOVES it and plus he is a Jeff Gordon fan and I am NOT!!!!! So we bash heads a bit there...I like anyone that drives a FORD...Junior is a fav this year as well as The old fart Mark Martin ( I know he won't go anywhere but it is fun to watch him race anyway) I was a die hard Dale Jarrett fan for years as well as Rusty Wallace (before he left Ford anyway!!) OLD SCHOOL Nascar rocks!!!! So I gues my Dh would be the widower in my case!!!!
 
Girl, where do you think the 88 in my name came from????? DALE JARRETT ROCKS! I was so sad when he retired. Even more sad when Junior took his number. :( Big time NASCAR girl here. I love night racing and I'm so happy that Darlington went to a night race. It's a great old track. I won't say who won so I don't ruin it for Mandy, but I'm pretty darn p-o'd about the winner. LOL!

My bro actually went to the race this weekend..left my SIL and 3 kiddos home..he took the boy (who loves racing too--he's 4!!)
 
Waaaa...I'm jealous! Darlington is one of my all-time favorite racetracks! I haven't been to a race since 2006 - went to see the Pepsi 400 at Daytona July 4th weekend with my 2 best friends. I left my dh home with the boys LOL!
 
My DH has been to the New Hampshire one twice (his parents have standing tickets there) and will be going next year I think. Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind Nascar...it's just that I hate that it takes up all 3 weekend nights. DH just bought me headphones for Mother's Day so I can watch movies on the laptop while he watches the race. LOL

My best friend is a Nascar widow and I totally feel for her.....but I am a HUGE Nascar fan. Her 30th birthday party was yesterday and into last night. Would you like to know what me and the guys were doing last night???.....watching the race. LMAO They were all Jr fans thanks gawd....and they were lookin' at me alittle taken back when I was screamin' at the tv (about Busch). LOL I don't think they knew what to think. LOL
