:cursing: the whore yellow that the dye turned it is refusing to die now I have to wait a week before adding more product to my hair.....I tried to cover the yellow with brown but now I areas that the yellow will not go away ugh and I covered my whole head and did not mis a spot because I want the yellow to go AWAY I just think it is going to take more then one box of brown to make this yellow go completely away. I don't want to fry my scalp so I'll have to wait it out....so much for going blonde for the summer.

OK rant over

I have to work all weekend I don't think they consider ucky hair as an emergency I am making an appointment for this week my hair stylist should be back in town from vacation.....this will teach me to not be impatient

sorry you're having a bad time with hair coloring. I color mine all the time and luckily have never had a bad experience.....yet. but i tend to stick with the same shades/brands.

i go darker all the time at home and never have problems. but if i ever go lighter, i always go to the salon. Im too scared of botching it up not too!

Maybe a beanie, or a funky scarf until you get to the salon might be the way to go! lol. good luck.

no, stop messing with it and TAKE A PICTURE.

I've got to see "whore yellow" with streaks of brown, rofl.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. But yes, take a pic and post it here! I'd love to see what whore yellow looks like :)

Awe Jen sorry about that hun!!! THis is why I am glad I have a sis as my hair stylist!! hehe Good Luck hunny!

If I could give anyone ANY advice, it is..do not color your hair at home. I did it for more than 10 years straight and my hair was DEAD and disgusting for a long long time. My hair thanks me now. :)

I understand completely - I came out with orange/pink hair one time - it's why I don't use Clairol anymore (I've never had those issues with L'Oreal). My hubby was calling me "Lucy" for the longest time after that. I wore a hat for a couple of days at work until I got it corrected, but now I wish I had taken a picture for posterity and as a reminder to NEVER use Miss Clairol - she is not my friend.
But yes, going to the salon is the best thing to do right now - it's worth the extra money spent....

Agreed! We'd be laughing with you, we promise! :) (we need an angel smiley!)

Been there done that years ago when I was a silly teen with little money and patience. There's some weird shampoo you can buy at drugstores that little old whitehaired ladies use. It's an intense blue colour and it's basically a bluing agent of some sorts i.e. same idea as the bluing stuff for laundry whites, I guess. Anyway, it helps take the edge off the brassiness. I have no idea how bad or good it is for your hair health as this was a billion years ago, but if the product still exists, it might help tone it down slightly until you can get it fixed up.

I totally agree on leaving it up to the salon. When I'm being cheap I do wait longer between colourings, but the slight roots are a billion times better than the mess I know I'd make of it at home. I know some people are really good at colouring at home but, like Manda said, it really does kill your hair over time.

Sorry gals no pic. I refused the camera....lol and I didn't mean to leave you hanging I had to go to work boo I was able to disgusih it well the yellow parts and I have an appoint first thing Monday as I have to work all weekend.
